Get To Know What Matadjaat Festival is All About

The word Matadjaat means “News” in the Djola language which is spoken in Casamance/Southern Senegal and The Gambia.
On Sunday, September 17th, 2017, The 4th annual Matadjaat festival will take place.

The location still remains at Café und Culturhaus located in the SternChance district of Hamburg, Germany.
Topafric radio was fortunate to have an exclusive interview with the organizers of the festival.

Sana from Senegal and Katrin from Germany sat down with us and told us all abou the event, what it meant and what to expect this year.
Sam T.N. & The Mass, Samba Ndiaye, Kekso & Tery Kafo, Dube, and Djante Bi will perform this year.

There will also be a Film showing and Art display as well. Abdou Diatta will display his paintings at the event.
Kids will also get some African drum lessons and offcourse African delicacies will not be lacking.
