Burkinabè Community in Hamburg had a successful End of Year Get-Together

The Burkinabè Community in Hamburg had a successful End of Year Get-Together on Saturday, the 15th of December 2018. The event took place at the First Foundation Hall in Hamburg -City Nord. 
In his opening address, Mr. Mohamed Issiaka MAIGA, president of “Association des Burkinabè à Hambourg et environnants (CBH e.V.)”

thanked the gathering for attending, pleaded with his countrymen and women to integrate as early as possible and also cease the opportunity to improve their language skills, to enable them get good jobs. He then asked the state to formulate policies that will make it possible for people to settle quickly in Germany.

Mr. Taro Isidore, who represented the Ambassador of Burkina Faso in Germany; His Excellency Guibila Simplice Honoré Matrimonial, commended the organizers for putting up such an event. He is delighted seeing several Burkinabe organizations coming together. Let us be reminded that as minors in a well-structured and economically sound country like Germany, the only might we have is to come together and be ready to support one another. 

The embassy staffs also had an Information stand, helping with visa and passport applications. They also cease the opportunity to enlighten visitors on business ventures in Burkina Faso.

Other non-profit organizations had info stands as well, among them were Abed Deutschland e.V., Ossarra e.V., HiWAM e.V., Afrika Unite e.V., TopAfric e.V.,
Buspad, e.V,. There was also a variety of delicious indigenous foods from Burkina Faso, Ethiopian and Eritrea that were sold at moderate prices. And of course the African attire was displayed colourfully as usual by the attendees.

A party was also organized in the evening with the Ivorian star Dj Ahmed... The music was great, and people dance till the break of dawn.
