19-year-old Model killed by a Train

A 19-year-old from College Station, Texas, was killed by a train while she was being photographed on the tracks Friday March 10th, 2017.
Fredzania "Zanie" Thompson was pursuing her dream of launching a modeling career when she was hit in Navasota, about 60 miles northwest of Houston, according to The Eagle of Bryan-College Station


Witnesses told investigators that the incident occurred where two train tracks met. Thompson was crossing the tracks to avoid an oncoming train when she was hit by another train coming from the other direction.

The Blinn College student, who would have turned 20 on Monday, March 13th, 2016 was pronounced dead while being rushed to a hospital. 
Her fiancé, 25-year-old Darnell Chatman, said the two had just found out weeks ago that they were expecting a child.

Friends and family posted a photo of her on Facebook showing the teen posing on train tracks. They said it was the last photo taken of her before she was killed.

Her friend who was taking the photos was not hurt in the incident.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to cover the cost of funeral expenses.
